1. Purpose of the Consultation

The purpose of this initial consultation is to provide preliminary immigration or citizenship advice based on the client’s circumstances and objectives.

  • Reviewing the client’s background, situation, and goals
  • Providing verbal guidance on eligibility, requirements, and available pathways
  • Answering questions related to Canadian immigration or citizenship processes
  • Offering general recommendations to help the client understand their options

This consultation does not include document review, application preparation, representation, communication with IRCC or other authorities, or ongoing services.

2. Scope of the Consultation

The consultation is limited to:

  • A single session up to 40 minutes
  • Verbal advice only
  • No drafting, editing, or submission of documents
  • No follow-up communication after the session
  • No representation before IRCC, CBSA, ESDC, IRB, or any other authority

If the client wishes to proceed with further services, a separate written Service Agreement must be signed before any additional work begins.

3. Fees

The Client agrees to pay the applicable consultation fee prior to the scheduled consultation appointment. The consultation fee is non-refundable once the consultation has been conducted.

The consultation fee covers a single consultation session of up to forty (40) minutes and includes preliminary immigration or citizenship advice based on the information provided by the Client during the consultation. No additional services, document review, application preparation, representation, or follow-up communication are included unless otherwise agreed upon in writing through a separate Service Agreement.

4. Role of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC)

The RCIC is regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).

The College:

  • Regulates RCICs in the public interest
  • Ensures ethical and professional conduct
  • Investigates complaints
  • Enforces compliance with the Code of Professional Conduct

Clients may contact the College regarding concerns about professional conduct or service quality.

5. Client Acknowledgements

The client acknowledges that:

  • The consultation provides preliminary advice only.
  • No guarantee of outcome has been provided.
  • The RCIC cannot influence or expedite IRCC decisions.
  • The client is responsible for providing accurate information during the consultation.
6. Record-Keeping

The RCIC will:

  • Keep a signed copy of this agreement.
  • Provide a signed copy to the client.
7. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.

Please be advised that Somaraja Pranavan is a member in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), and as such, is bound by its Code of Professional Conduct for College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Licensees and Regulations.


By signing below, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions of this Initial Consultation Agreement. The Client acknowledges that this consultation provides preliminary immigration advice only and does not constitute representation or ongoing professional services.
